1. Agreement

By using Slump Siren ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The app is operated by Slump Siren ("we", "us"). You can reach us at slumpsiren@gmail.com.

2. What Slump Siren is

Slump Siren helps readers who are in a reading slump by diagnosing the kind of slump they're in and suggesting a small number of "bridge" books drawn from a curated library. Recommendations are editorial suggestions, not guarantees — they are one reader-and-editor's view of what might help, offered to complement (not replace) your own judgement and other tools you use.

3. Eligibility

The app is intended for readers aged 18 or over. Some content in the library is romance, including titles explicitly marked as mature or dark and placed behind an opt-in. By using the app you confirm you are 18 or older.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and not to: misuse or disrupt it; attempt to access it in unauthorised ways; scrape, copy, or republish the library or its contents; or submit unlawful, infringing, or abusive material through the submission form.

5. Book suggestions you submit

If you submit a book suggestion through the "Share a Slump Breaker" form:

• You confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are entitled to share it.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit, and display the suggestion (for example, to add the book to the library with our own editorial write-up).
• We may accept, edit, decline, or remove submissions at our discretion, and we are not obliged to add any suggested book.
• Submissions may be made anonymously; we do not publish contributors' identities.

6. Intellectual property

The Slump Siren name, the curated library, the editorial write-ups ("bridge logic"), the slump framework, and the design and content of the app are our intellectual property or used with permission. You may use the app for your own personal reading purposes only. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or create derivative products from the library or its editorial content without our written permission.

Book titles, author names, and cover information referenced in recommendations belong to their respective rights holders and are used to identify and discuss those works.

7. Recommendations, content warnings, and AI-assisted content

• Editorial content warnings are provided as a courtesy and are best-effort, not exhaustive. They may be incomplete or differ from your own sensitivities. You are responsible for your own reading choices; please check a book's own information before reading, particularly for mature or dark titles.
• Some of the editorial write-ups are AI-assisted. We review the library, but we do not warrant that every description, tag, or content note is complete or error-free.
• We do not sell books or process purchases. Recommended books are published and sold by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or pricing, or for any third-party site you visit as a result.

8. No warranties

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will suit your tastes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on recommendations, content warnings, or the availability of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes

We may update the app or these Terms as the project develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your place of residence.
